Pitches and Prices

We are a low impact eco campsite. We want to give to the environment not take from it. Each large pitch has the luxury of at least 15 m between every pitch. With our new planting of deciduous woodland, the pitches  feel pleasantly secluded and will offer you a sense of camping in the woodland.

The Woodcock, Weasel and Woodpecker pitches are nestled within the woodland and are  big favourites of ours. The Kestrel pitch and Snipe pitch also have that cosy woodland feel. All of the other pitches are more open in the meadow while we wait for the trees to establish themselves. Hawk's Nest, The Birch, Hornbeam, Ironwood, Willowbed, Kestrel and Woodcock are suitable for camper vans/motorhomes/trailer tents and caravans.

Every pitch has its own private hot shower and private toilet. All pitches also now have the very popular covered area. A place where you can cook, shelter from the sun or the rain and to have a campfire. There is also a picnic Bench on your pitch. Firewood is free at King's Mill.

The plan is for no pitch to be in view of any other pitch and for our woodland to thrive and mature until the end of time. We ask you to take great care of our newly planted native trees and rewilded areas for the benefit of the flora and fauna.

Please keep to the designated paths and remember; take only photographs and leave only footprints.

Please contact us to discuss which pitch may be most suitable for your tent or vehicle or van. If you are bringing a caravan then you must have a motor mover. Electric is available on all pitches.

Our availability calendar is up to date.

The pitches are booking up though so don't miss out and book early to avoid disappointment, especially in the School holidays.

Prices

Camping / Caravans, Campervans and Motorhomes

We make no excuses for the prices of our pitches. We believe that we offer something unique in a fantastic location. This is somewhere where you and your family can get back to nature, explore the outdoors and thoroughly enjoy this fantastic part of the world.

Please note we take bookings for a minimum of one week during the school holidays, arriving on Saturday and leaving on Saturday. As I am sure you understand changeover day is a very busy day for us. For this reason arrival is strictly not before 3.30pm on the Saturday and check out is by 10.00 am. Arrival must be before 8pm.

Outside of school holidays we are more than happy to take bookings for a minimum 2 night stay. Prices will be charged pro-rata.

Prices are based on 2 adults sharing 1 pitch for either campervans/caravans/motorhomes or tents.

It's great if you come along with friends. If there is a second tent or van for them then you may need to book another pitch.

*A note about dogs. We love dogs! We have three of our own, but it is absolutely essential that any dog visiting King's Mill is under control at all times. Under control means with you at all times and never charging about in the long grass where small saplings and wild flowers grow. It took many hours to plant and care for the new trees and excited dogs will snap young saplings. Also nobody wants to stand in a dog poo. There are places at King's Mill where your dog can have a run such at the woods and the front field but they must still be under control.  Within the camping area dogs must be at heel, under control or on a lead at all times.

Our Daughter has a passion for dogs. Last year she offered a dog sitting service for a few of our campers while they went for surf lessons or went for a meal. This depends on the dog and her availability so please let us know in advance if possible.
